Why It Matters:

Volume 1: Theory
Volume 1: Theory lays the critical theoretical foundation for this new science and technology of society building. It explores the minds and legacies of the thinkers who inspired the Matrix of Peace: the founders of Peace Through Commerce; the visionaries of the human potential movement— Socrates, Rumi, Leonardo da Vinci, Maria Montessori, Carl Jung, and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi; and the architects of classical liberalism—Lao Tse, John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Stuart Mill, Friedrich Hayek, and Milton Friedman.
You’ll Learn:
- 📘 The intellectual foundations and humanistic philosophy that inspired the Matrix of Peace.
- 💡 How timeless ideas from visionaries and philosophers guide peaceful, thriving societies.
- 🌍 Why consciousness, virtue, and values are essential for societal transformation.
What Inspired This Volume:
This volume draws inspiration from the pioneers of thought who shaped our understanding of humanity, creativity, and freedom. Their combined wisdom—bridging philosophy, economics, and spirituality—forms the intellectual groundwork for a peaceful and flourishing global society.
Why You Should Read It:
If you seek to understand how ideas shape the destiny of nations, Volume 1: Theory will expand your perspective on how mindsets, values, and cultural evolution contribute to sustainable peace and conscious prosperity.
Volume 2: Model
Volume 2: Model introduces a new multi-sector, whole-systems, consciousness model of society housed within the mathematical and logic data sets of a Venn diagram. Its parameters express society as a living system that is conscious, dynamic, chaordic, intelligent, and progressive—open to evolution, experimentation, creative growth, and decay.
This volume presents the Matrix of Peace Model as a visual teaching, mapping, diagnostic, and simulation tool for understanding and improving societal systems. It enables leaders, organizations, and communities to view peace as an active, evolving state supported by structure, purpose, and consciousness.
You’ll Learn:
- 🧩 How the Matrix of Peace Model represents society as an interconnected, living system.
- 🔍 How to use the Venn-based framework for diagnosing, mapping, and guiding social transformation.
- 💫 Why consciousness, systems thinking, and collaboration are key to sustainable peacebuilding.
What Inspired This Volume:
This volume is inspired by the recognition that peace requires systemic design, not just moral intent. By understanding society as a network of interdependent sectors—public, private, and civil—it shows how shared values and higher purpose can align institutions to nurture peace and prosperity.
Why You Should Read It:
Volume 2: Model is essential for strategists, policymakers, educators, and changemakers who seek to implement peace through systems that balance progress with consciousness. It bridges abstract theory with practical frameworks that can be applied to real-world societal challenges.
Volume 3: Technology
Volume 3: Technology introduces detailed “user manuals” for applying the Matrix of Peace in the field—including the Matrix of Peace Methodology and Facilitation Tool, the Noble Trinity of Higher Purpose, and the Frameworks for Activating Matrix Nurture. It opens by setting the field for practitioners to engage Matrix technology as a consciousness practice, attending to both the being and doing of the work, with means as pure as the ends they seek.
This volume equips leaders, facilitators, and practitioners with practical frameworks and step-by-step tools to activate the Matrix of Peace. By combining consciousness practices with actionable strategies, it enables transformative societal change at multiple levels.
You’ll Learn:
- 🛠️ How to apply the Matrix of Peace Methodology in real-world settings.
- 🌐 How to engage cross-sector stakeholders using Matrix technology as a consciousness practice.
- 💡 Practical frameworks for activating systemic peace and nurturing thriving societies.
What Inspired This Volume:
Inspired by the need to translate theory and model into actionable practice, this volume shows how to operationalize societal transformation. It reflects Philomena Blees’ work across sectors with Peace Through Commerce and her experience co-producing the inaugural Nobel Peace Prize Forums.
Why You Should Read It:
Volume 3: Technology is essential for practitioners, facilitators, and leaders who wish to implement systemic peace strategies with measurable outcomes. It bridges the gap between consciousness, strategy, and action, giving readers both insight and practical tools for real-world societal impact.

FOREWORD
This book is a call to action for all who wish to bring lasting peace, prosperity, and well-being to the world. It also serves as a reference for peacebuilders and problem-solvers seeking to align human values with societal progress.
The Matrix of Peace model grew from the FLOW movement that I co-founded with Michael Strong in Freedom Lights Our World (FLOW), Inc. Phyllis Blees, who led FLOW’s operational work, evolved its Peace Through Commerce program to connect FLOW principles to the public, private, and civil sectors of society.
FLOW was about liberating the entrepreneurial spirit for good — combining freedom and enterprise from classical liberalism with compassion and consciousness from the human potential movement. Peace Through Commerce builds upon this vision, turning it into a holistic framework for peace and prosperity.
The model shows that peace arises when the public, private, and civil sectors collaborate from shared values to generate justice, prosperity, and sustainability — the true foundation of peace. It’s a model both visionary and practical.
The Matrix of Peace fulfills its mission as a roadmap for those who seek a just, prosperous, and sustainable world.

AFTERWORD
I first encountered the ideas that inspired this book in 2007 through conversations around Conscious Capitalism. Among those voices was Phyllis Blees, whose insight and persistence helped shape Peace Through Commerce. I had long believed that business could be a force for peace — and here was someone proving it.
Over the years, I’ve watched Phyllis develop a model that bridges ethics, economics, and consciousness. The Matrix of Peace distills that lifetime of work into an elegant system that transforms peace from a distant ideal into a practical framework for action.
This book challenges the notion that peace is passive. Instead, it shows peace as an active, generative process — emerging from collaboration among all sectors of society. It invites us to build not only peaceful individuals, but peaceful systems.
The Matrix of Peace connects prosperity, justice, and sustainability into a single living ecosystem. It’s an inspired model for conscious evolution — one that offers both clarity and hope in an age that needs both.
